LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7.com) – A Lynchburg grand jury has indicted a man on charges of killing his estranged mother-in-law.
Scott Christman Miles is charged with first degree murder for the death of Lynda Slocum. Miles is from Henrico County and is married to Slocum’s daughter.
Slocum, 86, was found dead inside her home on Ravenwood Drive in Lynchburg on December 20, 2012. Police had been questioning Miles as a “person of interest” in relation to Slocum’s death.
