RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond detectives are investigating a weekend homicide in the city’s East End.
Police say that shortly before midnight on Sunday, officers heard gunshots and received calls about random gunfire in the 2700 block of Q street. Police said they were on scene in less than a minute and found a black male in his early 30s dead of an apparent gunshot wound.
They are still working to identify the male and notify next of kin. They are canvassing the neighborhood and speaking with possible witnesses.
Police also hope to find any witnesses to the homicide in the East End.
