RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Two local teachers were rewarded for their efforts in the classroom. John Bennet, of Mary Munford Elementary School, was surprised Monday with the 2013 Virginia Lottery Super Teacher Award.
Amber Kuper, of Salem Church Middle School, received the same honor Tuesday in front of the entire school.
Both teachers received a $2,000 cash prize and an additional $2,000 to spend on classroom supplies.
