ROANOKE, Va. (WTVR) — A former Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy was sentenced for killing his ex-wife and a subsequent shooting that wounded a Virginia State Police sergeant.
WBDJ reports Jonathan Agee was sentenced to serve three life sentences in prison, plus 11 years in court for killing his ex-wife, Jennifer Agee, at a Roanoke gas station on Memorial Day 2011. He also wounded former Virginia State Police Sergeant Matthew Brannock on Interstate 81 in Montgomery County.
Agee’s sentence is the maximum he could receive.
