Computer problems delay American Airlines flights

(CNN) — American Airlines’ computer systems are back online, but the carrier expects more flight delays and cancellations for the rest of Tuesday, American Airlines said in a written statement.

The airline started experiencing computer problems Tuesday afternoon, according to a tweet from the airline.

Our reservation & booking tool Sabre is offline. We're working to resolve as quickly as we can. We apologize for any inconvenience.

“Our reservation & booking tool Sabre is offline. We’re working to resolve as quickly as we can. We apologize for any inconvenience,” the social media message read.

Currently two of the four American Airlines flights scheduled to leave Richmond International Airport are listed as “delayed.”
