RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - A new festival is coming to Richmond and it aims to promote outdoor activities. The City of Richmond and the Sports Backers will host "RVA Streets Alive" on June 22 from 10:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m.
During the festival the city will shut down two and a half mile loop of city streets near the Manchester Bridge, Commerce Road, Hull Street, the 14th Street Bridge, Canal Street, Virginia Street and Byrd Street.

Health and fitness vendors will also be on site. The festival was created to celebrate and promote healthy lifestyles.
“This is one event that all Richmonders can take part in, no matter what their fitness preference is,” Sports Backers executive director Jon Lugbill said in a press statement. “Whether you are a runner, a biker, or a yoga enthusiast, the road is open for you.”
