Police arrest female in 28th Street homicide

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)–Police made an arrest in connection with Monday night’s homicide off 28th Street.

Cierra S. Brockenbrough, 27, of the 1900 block of Cedar Street, was arrested on a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.

Police identified the man shot and killed in a Richmond home Monday evening as 27-year-old Dwayne Fleming. Detectives believe that Brockenbrough and Fleming knew each other, and that the motive for the crime was robbery.

Police were called to the 1800 block of North 28th Street around 6:00 p.m. to investigate reports of random gunfire, police said. Once on scene, police found Fleming shot in the home.
