Colonial Heights (WTVR) – A Colonial Heights man and a teenager accused of beating another person to death will be released from jail until their trial.

Jonathan Guy, 20-years-old, along with the 17-year old, both appealed a judge’s decision to keep them locked up and were granted bail on Thursday. Both are charged with first-degree murder and murder by mob in the death of Rusty Mack.

Mack was badly beaten outside a Colonial Heights apartment complex last month and later died in the hospital.

A third suspect in Mack’s death, Francis Blaha III, is already out on bond.

Additionally, Mack’s estranged wife, who is also charged in his death, was denied bail.
