LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office is looking for other potential victims to come forward after they announced the arrest of a man on various child sex charges.

Louisa Sheriff’s Office Major Donnie Lowe said Joe Leake, 36, is accused of sexually abusing a 10-year-old child. Investigators said Leake was a “family acquaintance” of the child and he had taken her from her mother to go on a shopping trip.

Instead of going shopping, investigators said Leake took the child to his home where the crimes occurred.

Leake is charged with abduction, object sexual penetration, aggravated sexual battery, indecent liberties by custodian and forcible sodomy.

He is being held, without bond, at Central Virginia Regional Jail pending a Friday bond hearing.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to call the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 967-1234.
