HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - A Hanover judge sentenced Ryan Markham to two-life sentences for the 2012 murder of his estranged wife Sabrina.

Markham was given one life sentence for the murder of Sabrina Markham, one life sentence for the malicious wounding of Blake Minter. He was also sentenced to three years on one gun charge and given five years on the other.

In October, Markham plead guilty to murder, aggravated malicious wounding and two firearm charges in connection to the June 2012 shooting that also injured Sabrina's boyfriend Blake Minter.

Markham admitted to breaking into Sabrina's Candleberry Drive home and shooting her 11 times as she hid in a closet.

Two days before the killing, Sabrina was granted a protective order barring Markham from contacting her.
