RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Richmond Police shut down the Mayo Bridge in both directions for a period of time after a car reportedly went into the James River.
It happened around 4 a.m. on Saturday. Police tell us the driver was charged with reckless driving.
An ambulance was seen leaving the area.
The bridge has been reopened.
