ROCKY MOUNT, Va.— (WTVR) — State police say a Virginia a kindergarten teacher and a school nurse were arrested Wednesday in connection with a murder-for-hire plot .
WDBJ reports that the two Franklin County elementary school employees were charged in the plot.
Investigators said Angela Nolen, a teacher at the school, tried to have her ex-husband, Paul Strickler, killed. Additionally, Cathy Bennett, a nurse, is accused of helping Nolen plot to kill her husband.
Investigators said Nolen handed over $4,000 to an undercover agent she believed was a hit man on Tuesday.
As a result, state police said Nolen and Bennett are both facing felony charges.
