(WTVR) – Former Duke University basketball star Phil Henderson died Sunday in the Philippines, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune. The Tribune reported Duke University confirmed Henderson’s death.
Henderson played at Duke between 1986 – 1990.
“Our hearts go out to his mom and family,” Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said in a statement. “Phil was a talented player and a good man with a gentle soul. We will miss him dearly.”
