RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – It’s probably a good thing many of you were able to sleep in and not venture outdoors early this holiday morning. This was one of our coldest mornings of the month, and of Winter, so far.
In Richmond, the preliminary low temperature reported at Richmond International Airport was 17 degrees. This ties our morning low earlier this month on February 2, 2013, and these are our only two mornings this month in the teens.
The coldest stretch of mornings in central Virginia this Winter was January 23-26, 2013, when our low temperatures were as follows:
Jan 23: 14 degrees
Jan 24: 19 degrees
Jan 25: 15 degrees
Jan 26: 16 degrees.
