(WTVR) — Joe Paterno’s widow, Sue, will sit down with Kate Couric in an exclusive interview next week.
Ms. Paterno, who kept a low profile during the Penn State child sex abuse scandal involving Jerry Sandusky, has not spoken out since her husband’s death from lung cancer in 2012.
The scandal led to Paterno’s firing. And it was’t just Penn State’s head football coach who got the ax. Graham Spanier, the university’s longtime president, was also ousted.
Last month, Sandusky, who’s serving a prison sentence for sexually abusing young boys, learned he will not get a new trial.
According to website reports, Couric’s in-depth interview with Mrs. Paterno will air Feb. 11 on “Katie.”
