COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WTVR) -- Police officers do not stop working when it snows and the same was true for police recruits on Friday.
Despite this bitter cold and chance for snow, recruits from the Crater Criminal Justice Academy were out training in Colonial Heights learning the art of directing traffic.
They will need the kill if there is an accident or power outages.
The cadets, which will graduate in May, will go on to work for the Hopewell, Prince George, Southampton, Capitol and Airport police departments.
