After seeing temperatures well above normal this weekend, there is a significant drop ahead this week.
A cold front will pass through by Sunday evening, bringing in about a ten degree drop for Monday.
A second cold front will pass Monday evening, and this will usher in the coldest air of the season for Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will only reach the low to mid 30s, and overnight lows will dip into the mid teens. The last time we saw temperatures this cold was two years ago.
The jet stream, which is allowing a chunk of this arctic air to spill southward towards our area, will push the coldest air east of our area on Thursday.
