RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - The Huguenot Bridge has released it's scheduled closures for this week, weather permitting. Monday, January 14 you can expect heavy traffic and delays of up to 5 minutes as flaggers direct dump trucks and alternate lanes. Tuesday, January 15 you can expect delays to grow to up to 15 minutes. Flaggers will be alternating one lane of travel over the bridge for crews to pour concrete for the new bridge. Wednesday through Friday, January 16-18 periodic delays of up to 5 minutes will continue. Flaggers will be directing dump trucks again. All work will be between 8 am and 3pm. Avoid the area if possible.
Here are the detours to get around the area.
• Northbound Huguenot Road - Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) north over the Willey Bridge to River Road east to Huguenot Road or use Powhite Parkway (toll) east into Richmond
• Southbound Huguenot Road – River Road west to Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) south to Huguenot Road
Crews will also be on scene along 95 North and South between Hermitage and Lakeside today. Bridge repairs will have the interstate down to one lane between Hermitage (mile marker 80) and Boulevard (mile marker 78). Use caution or avoid the area between 8:30am and 3pm.
