RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — Drivers can expect to pay less for gas in 2013.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says increased domestic oil production and lower demand should keep pump prices lower this year than they were in 2012. Nationally, the price is expected to peak between $3.60 and $3.80 a gallon.
However, if new transportation legislation passes here in Virginia, prices could drop even more.
Governor Bob McDonnell has proposed eliminating the gas tax and raising the state sales tax by .08 percent to pay to fix Virginia’s roads.
