RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – If you were out and about early Monday morning, you knew it was a bitter cold one in central Virginia with widespread frost. In fact, the final morning of 2012 was our coldest of this season. At Richmond International Airport, the (preliminary) morning low temperature was 22 degrees.
The previous coldest morning of this Fall/Winter season was on December 23, with a morning low of 23 degrees.
The coldest temperature of the entire year was January 4, 2012 with a low temperature of 17 degrees.
