RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - Crews will be working along the Huguenot Bridge the next few nights and it could cause serious delays. Commuters could be stopped for up to 45 minutes on either side of the bridge as workers erect structural steel for the new bridge. Traffic will continue through after each section is secured in place.
Drivers should avoid the area Thursday and Friday of this week, December 20 and 21 between the hours of 10pm and 5am.
If you need a detour follow these instructions:
• Northbound Huguenot Road - Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) north over the Willey Bridge to River Road east to Huguenot Road or use Powhite Parkway (toll) east into Richmond
• Southbound Huguenot Road – River Road west to Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) south to Huguenot Road
