LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – The alleged East Coast Rapist entered a guilty plea Thursday afternoon, according to the Washington Post.
Forty-one-year-old Aaron Thomas pleaded guilty to one charge each of rape and abduction for a rape at a Leesburg apartment complex in 2001.
Earlier this month, Thomas had backed out of a plea deal. During that proceeding, Thomas was expected to admit to abducting three Virginia teenagers and raping two of them on Halloween night in 2009.
Prosecutors said the Connecticut man is responsible for 17 sexual assaults, from Virginia to New England, dating back to 1997.
DNA evidence has linked Thomas to the Prince William case and the others.
