CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WTVR) - Some people are questioning if mall security did the right thing when it kicked a man accused of abducting a 2-year-old off property with out notifying police.
The incident happened Thanksgiving weekend when an unknown man grabbed the little girl from the food court of Fashion Square Mall in Charlottesville and ran off. The father of the girl was able to catch up to the man and get his daughter back.
A security company our sister station spoke with says security should have called police then.
Now all police have to go off of the suspect surveillance footage of the man. They did not take down his name or address.
