RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) – A two car accident that knocked down a street lamp shut down all southbound lanes of the Powhite Parkway for an hour and a half.
Police say the accident happened just after 1 a.m. Officials say they’re still investigating the accident and don’t know what caused it yet, but that one of the vehicles did flip over.
The southbound portion of the Powhite was shut down between the Cary Street and Douglasdale exits while they cleaned up the accident and investigated.
No one was seriously injured. It’s believed alcohol was a factor.
