WARSAW, Va. (WTVR) – Crews from South Carolina, Alabama and North Carolina are headed to the Northern Neck to help the Northern Neck Electric Cooperative (NNEC) assess and repair lines damaged by Hurricane Sandy, according to NNEC spokesman Andrew Packett.
Sandy is expected to impact the Northern Neck through Tuesday, Packett said.
“Safety is our main concern at this time. That includes safety for our linemen, visiting crews and the general public,” said NNEC Vice-President Jim Moss. “If you see our linemen working on the roadsides, please slow down and look carefully until you have passed the construction area. We appreciate your patience during power outages.”
