RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) – Crews have extended work through today along the Huguenot Bridge. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. crews will be on scene again alternating lanes of traffic over the Huguenot Bridge. Workers will install bridge piles and remove existing sheet piles. It’s all part of the bridge reconstruction project, weather permitting. Drivers can expect delays of at least 15 minutes.

To avoid delays, drivers are encouraged to use the following alternate routes:

  • Northbound Huguenot Road – Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) north over the Willey Bridge to River Road east to Huguenot Road or use Powhite Parkway (toll) east into Richmond
  • Southbound Huguenot Road – River Road west to Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) south to Huguenot Road

If there is additional work needed, the contractor may extend closures through Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closures and detours will remain the same. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we know if that work is extended.
