SANDSTON, Va. (WTVR) – Verizon says a network equipment issue at its Sandston office has affected landline phone service to customers in Henrico and eastern Hanover counties.
Officials said Thursday afternoon customers may have trouble making calls from their landline phones or to the area served by the company’s Sandston office.
Technicians from Verizon and the equipment vendor are on site working to restore service.
The equipment problem is not affecting cell phones or any of Verizon’s internet or TV services.
Verizon is working on restoring service, but does not have an estimate for when service will be restored or how many customers are affected.
