RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – A Richmond man who turned himself in to police last night is now charged in the shooting death of a woman found inside a car.
Lorenza “Quan” Porter III, 23, of Hopkins Road, is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder, according to an email from Richmond Police. Porter is being held in the Richmond City Jail.
Police charged Porter in connection with the September 14 shooting death of 20-year-old Keonna Watkins.
“Started out with arguing, then I heard a gunshot,” said long-time resident Ronald Clendenin, who heard the shooting. “Then there was more arguing and another gun shot. Then even more arguing, then silence.”
Officers found Watkins sitting in a car in the middle of the Rusk Avenue. She was taken to VCU Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
