HENRICO, Va. (WTVR)— CBS6 has confirmed that two juveniles have been arrested in connection to a fire Wednesday afternoon at Biltmore Baptist Church.

The two have been charged with breaking and entering, larceny, arson with other charges still pending.

Around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, a woman stepped inside the Biltmore Baptist Church to get some ice for her water. The smell of smoke wafted upstairs, from the basement.

The Fire Marshal said that at least three small fires had been set in the basement. There were also reports of a “heavy amount of vandalism.”

The church is located in the 1300 block of New York Avenue. The fires are completely extinguished, and there are no injuries to report.

Items stolen from the church were recovered close to the scene.
