RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - A strong cold front will pass through the area Saturday evening. Ahead of the front, it will be hot and very humid. A squall line of strong to severe storms should cross the mountains early Saturday afternoon.
This line of storms will move to areas west of I-95 mid to late afternoon. Storms should cross I-95 and the metro late afternoon into early evening. Areas east of I-95 will see the storms early to mid evening. [RELATED: Click here for the latest watches and warnings]
Conditions are favorable for some strong wind gusts in excess of 60 mph in some of the storms. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. [Mike Stone’s Facebook page | Twitter]
