HENRICO COUNTY, Va (WTVR) – Two brothers arrested and charged in connection with a mob-style attack on the VCU campus also attended a weekend house party in western Henrico where a teenage girl was shot in the head, multiple police sources told CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett.
Search warrants obtained by CBS 6 indicate Henrico Police went to the Henrico home of Adam and Zachary Wallace looking for firearms, ammunition, laser sights and more.
The brothers have not been charged in connection to the house party shooting. Zachary and Adam Wallace are charged with assault by mob in for the two August beatings and robberies on the VCU campus.
The Henrico search warrant indicates it was granted in order to investigate a grand larceny and aggravated malicious wounding.
Multiple police sources confirmed the Wallace brothers were at a party in the West End off Hilbingdon Road Saturday night where party goers tells us chaos erupted when two groups clashed.
“Three of my friends’ iPhones were gone, the beer was gone,” said a party attendee who did not want to be identified Sunday. “Then the guy throwing the party says he went to his parents’ room and things were missing. He came down and said ‘all ya’ll, gotta’ get out.’”
Shortly after the party-goers were asked to leave, someone pulled a gun and opened fire, police sources said.
One of the bullets hit the back windshield of a car leaving the party and struck a teenage girl in the head.
Police are working to determine who pulled the trigger.
While police are still conducting interviews in their investigation, the Hanover teen who was shot in head is recovering in “good” condition at the hospital.
Due to the victim’s age, CBS 6 is waiting for police or her family to release her name before we share the name given to us by friends and witnesses.
This is a developing story.
