RICHMOND, Va (WTVR)- Hundreds of people gather on the grounds of the State capitol, to pay tribute to those who lost their lives during a recent Sikh temple shooting in Wisconsin.
A Candle light prayer vigil for those killed and wounded took place tonight near the old bell tower.
In all six people were killed when a man believed to be a white supremacist entered a temple last Sunday and started shooting.
Richmond’s Mayor Dwight Jones was among those in attendance at Friday night’s vigil.
He Believes a lesson in tolerance can prevent future tragedies like this.
The event ended with a peaceful march around the capitol.
