RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Richmond police are investigating a shooting in the city's Southside.
Officers said the victim was shot in the back near Dinwiddie Avenue and 19th and 20th streets Sunday around 9 p.m.
The man was transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting, which police do not think was random, forced authorities to close down part of Dinwiddie Avenue during their investigation Sunday night.
