GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - The Goochland County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man accused in a Saturday morning stabbing.
"It was just blood everywhere. I mean...it shocked me," said stabbing suspect Ricky Darnell Ramey's sister. She did not want to be identified by name.
She told CBS 6, her family was having a birthday party for her son when the fight started.
"I don't know what happened. I don't know. Everybody was fine...talking," she said.
According to investigators, Ricky Darnell Ramey stabbed Bruce Englehart in the back after the two got into an argument outside the home.
"He didn't even want to go to the hospital. And me and my son told him, he needed to go," Ramey's sister said.
As the fight continued, deputies said Ramey's girlfriend Charlottle Hodges pulled out a handgun and fired a shot into the air.
"She pulled it out the trunk. I was standing at the trunk when she did that," said Ramey's sister.
The suspect's brother tells us, he just got in from Florida to see his family. His reaction to the drama?
"Disappointment. Really, to be honest with you. He should've had more sense than that. Walk away,” said Doug Ramey.
Goochland County Sheriff’s office said the couple fled in a green 1995 Ford Explorer with Virginia tags: XNY-7765.
A felony warrant for Malicious Wounding has been obtained for Ricky Darnell Ramey. Additional warrants for two counts of Assault & Battery, two counts of Brandishing a Firearm, and one count of Reckless Handling of a Firearm have been obtained for Charlotte Hodges. Anyone with information as to their whereabouts should contact the Goochland Sheriff’s Office at 804-556-5349. Both subjects should be considered armed and dangerous.
