RICHMOND, Va., (WTVR) – A disturbance will move through the area this afternoon and set off widely scattered storms.
The environment will be unstable enough that a few isolated storms may turn severe with strong wind gusts. The threat for large hail is fairly low. [BONUS: Mike Stone’s Facebook page]
The best chances for storms will be mid/late afternoon through sunset. All storms that do develop will have a lot of lightning and will produce very heavy localized rainfall.
The storms will be scattered, so not all areas will see them.
