RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The VCU Police reported a robbery to the Richmond Police Department around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The robbery reportedly occurred at Goshen and Clay Streets in the Carver Neighborhood.
The police described one of the suspects as an African American male between 18 to 20 years old, about 5 foot 10, wearing a white shirt and black shorts. The second suspect is described as an African American male between 18 to 20 years old, about 5 foot 10, wearing a black shirt and black shorts.
Officials say the victim was walking northbound on Goshen Street when he encountered the suspects at Goshen and Marshall Streets, where the three of them talked briefly.
According to the report, the victim continued walking when the suspects approached him from the back and began to hit him with their hands. The suspects reportedly took the victim’s iPhone and wallet.
They were last seen on Goshen Street heading towards Marshall Street.
VCU Police says no weapons were used.
