ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. (WTKR) – The National Weather Service is reporting that a possible tornado touched down on Virginia’s Eastern Shore Saturday.
It happened in the Chase Crossing section of Accomack County.
WTKR-TV reports the storms uprooted numerous trees and caused structural damage near the intersection of Custis Neck and Drummandtown roads.
A warm front combined with a sea breeze to produce the single severe storm that produced the possible tornado.
The National Weather Service will send out a team to survey the damage Monday.
