Fundraiser planned to help 288 crash victim’s family

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WTVR) – Family and friends of a woman killed in an accident on Route 288 in Chester will gather this month to remember their loved one and raise money to help her family.

Allen left behind a husband, four adult children and grandchildren, according to family friend Megan Kirby.

“She was very caring, loving person. She brought a smile to everyone’s face, ” Kirby said.

Kirby is helping to get word out about a fundraiser in honor of Allen.

The July 15 event at Benny’s Tavern, in Colonial Heights,  will raise money to assist Allen’s family, Kirby said.Click here for fundraiser details.
