‘On target’ Dominion says 86% now have power

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Dominion Virginia Power said crews are ahead of the schedule the utility company laid out to restore power to customers who lost electricity after Friday’s storm.

Dominion reported 86 percent of the 1,000,000 customers who lost power now have it back. The company had hoped to get 80 – 85 percent of its customers back online by the end of the day.

More than 15,000 customers in Central Virginia remain without power as of noon on Tuesday. More than 70,000 customers are powerless in Northern Virginia. Click here for updated Dominion outage numbers.
