HENRICO, Va. (WTVR) — According to the FBI office in Richmond, a three day law enforcement sweep lead to the arrests of four people in Henrico connected to teenage prostitution.
The sweep dubbed, “Operation Cross Country” involved Henrico, Chesterfield and Richmond. Henrico was the “lead agency.” Though there were four arrests, no children were rescued in our immediate area.
Nationally, “Operation Cross Country” took place this past Friday though Sunday. It involved over 2,500 state, local and federal officers in 57 cities.
In total, 104 were arrested and 79 children were rescued across the country because of the operation.
