Firefighters battle trailer blaze on city’s South Side

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Richmond firefighters remain on the scene of a trailer fire they battled Sunday morning on the city’s South Side.

Lt. Robbie Hagaman with RFD tells CBS 6 that the call came in for the fire in the 2900 block of Jeff Davis at around 8 a.m. Sunday, and crews arrived on scene in less than two minutes.

The residents managed to escape safely, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

In all, Hagaman says the Red Cross is assisting 16 individuals who have been displaced, 5 adults and 11 children.
