Redskins say ‘thank you’ to fans in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Some current and former players of the Washington Redskins visited the area this weekend as part of the 80th anniversary of their "Thank You Tour."

They stopped by Kings Dominion on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to talk to fans and even riding a roller coaster with some of them.

After Kings Dominion, the Redskins headed south for the "Richmond Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival."  They were there from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

According to Redskins.com, current players included DeJon Gomes, Brandyn Thompson, Brandon Banks, Brandon Barnes and DeAngelo Hall.  Former players included Frank Grant, Dexter Manley, Fred Dean, Rich Milot, Charles Man, Tom Heckler and Roy Jefferson.

The team announced this week they would be moving their 2013 training camp to the River City.
