PETERSBURG, Va. (WTVR) – Virginia State University is teaming up with area dentists and other medical professionals to help those in need.
Starting Friday, medical and general volunteers will treat as many as 600 patients for the “VSU Cares” event to be held at Daniel gymnasium on the school’s campus.
Services available include minor dental surgery, extractions, fillings and cleanings- free of charge and for all ages.
Friday’s services are reserved for patients who preregistered.
On Saturday, June 9, those interested in the services can be treated on a first-come-first-serve basis, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Hearing and vision screenings are also available for anyone who attends the event.
