UPDATE: Van plows into downtown pizza shop

UPDATE--   A driver is facing charges related to a crash that damage the front of a Richmond pizzeria.

Police tell us Honda Odyssey was traveling south on 3rd street when it was struck by a Chevy Suburban driving west on Grace Street. The impact sent the minivan hurtling into the front of Velentino's pizza parlor.

The driver of the Suburban was charged with running a red light.

Damage to the building is estimated at $7,500.

Richmond, Va. (WTVR)--Police and firefighters are on the scene of crash that has destroyed the front of a pizza shop.

A van crashed into the front of Valentino’s pizza parlor.

The shop is located at Third and Grace Streets, across the street from the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Two cars were involved, said police. There are no injuries confirmed police.
