HANOVER, Va. (WTVR) – The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office has released new details regarding Saturday's homicide in the 8200 block of Candleberry Drive.

On Saturday, around 3:20 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to the home for a report of a domestic disturbance and shots fired. Upon arrival, deputies say they found a woman and two men inside, each with apparent gunshot wounds.

Deputies say the woman was already dead when they arrived, and that the two men were seriously injured and were transported to VCU Medical Center.

Sgt. Chris Whitley with the department tells CBS 6 that arrest warrants have been obtained for Ryan P. Markham, 33, of the 7400 block of Colts Neck Road in Mechanicsville in connection to the shooting. Warrants were obtained for murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and aggravated malicious wounding, according to Whitley.

Whitley says that Markham remains at VCU Medical Center Sunday, being treated for injuries he sustained during this incident, and will be turned over to the Sheriff’s Office upon release.

Police have identified the woman killed to be Markham's estranged wife, Sabrina M. Markham, 30, of the 8200 block of Candleberry Road in Mechanicsville. The other victim involved in this incident also remains at VCU Medical Center.

According to Whitley, the preliminary investigation indicates that Ryan Markham responded to his estranged wife’s residence, made entry, and fired several rounds from an assault rifle, killing Sabrina Markham.  During this encounter, Markham’s rounds also seriously injured another adult male, who fired rounds from a handgun that struck Ryan Markham.  This incident appears to have stemmed from a domestic dispute, police say.
