(WTVR) - Just in time for drivers filling up their gas tanks before they hit the road this holiday weekend, gas prices drop.
The average price of gas nationwide is $3.66 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com, but the average price here in Virginia is more than 20 cents less at $3.45 a gallon.
And the cheapest place to fill up in Central Virginia?
The Exxon on Hull street and Lake Harbor drive in Midlothian has the cheapest gas at $3.25 a gallon.
Other cheap places to fill up include:
- The Sam's club on Laburnum near Audubon on Richmond's East end at $3.27
- Petrol on Cox rd. near Sutherland drive in Dinwiddie at $3.29
- The Sam's Club on Broad st. near Coppermill Trace in the West End goes for $3.30 a gallon
