Stop late night cravings by shaming yourself

(WTVR) - A new app might put an end to late night eating, by shaming dieters into not reaching for the fridge.

Here's how it works, a magnetic device attaches to the side of the refrigerator.

If it's opened after a certain time, the device picks up on  it and it posts your late night raid on social networking sites.

It's a diet based on shame and has been dubbed Virtual Fridge Lock.

It's part of a Brazilian diet plan, and can only be purchased through the company Meta Real, as a participant in the program.

The company refers to it as an eating reduction program.
