Front of 3-story building collapses

Posted

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Early Monday morning rescue crews responded to the 200 block of East Grace street at approximately 3:15 a.m. for reports of a partial building collapse.

Lieutenant Shawn Jones of the Richmond Fire dept.  tells CBS 6 once crews arrived they found a decorative front of a three-story building had crumbled; some bricks from the first floor had even spilled out on to the street.

Three people and three dogs were inside of the building, everyone got out safely. Those people involved were allowed to go back inside the building and the scene had been marked under control.

The cause of the collapse is still under investigation - stay with CBS 6 for updates.
