JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WTKR) – Police have arrested and charged a 19-year-old after finding $25,000 worth of marijuana at a home in James City County.
Police said they found 2.5 pounds of marijuana, along with a 3-foot-tall marijuana plant and a shotgun when executing a drug investigation search warrant at a home in the 2400 block of Manion Drive in the Drummonds Field subdivision around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police said in a news release that the estimated value of the marijuana was $25,000.
As a result, 19-year-old Michael Anthony Pace was charged with possession with intent to distribute more than one half ounce and less than five pounds of marijuana, cultivating marijuana for sale, and possession of a firearm while in possession of more than one pound of marijuana.
Police said Pace was released from the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail on a $2500 secure bond.
