Police say when officers approached the group, one man fled on foot and police chased after him. Police say that's when the suspect "challenged" officers, and at least one shot was fired by an officer, hitting the suspect.

Police say they are investigating reports from witnesses that more than one shot was fired into the suspect's leg.

Police say the suspect was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say their investigation is ongoing.
